On behalf of the people of St. Maarten and the St. Maarten Marine Trades Association (SMMTA), it is my pleasure to welcome you to our beautiful and diverse island nation. Whether this is your first time visiting our shores or if St. Maarten is your home away from home I am sure you will find this directory extremely useful to you as an informational guide about the island and as a resource to help find well established and highly experienced companies that can cater to all of your needs during your stay with us. More than just a services guide, we hope that you will use our annual Marine Trade Directory as a planning tool for your work and for your leisure while on St. Maarten as there is a section on the surrounding islands and a page on historical monuments. We’ve chosen to highlight our neighbors as they are a large part of what makes St. Maarten the ideal cruising destination. While on the island you should take
The time to relax on one of our 37 white sand beaches, dine ashore at one of the many restaurants that makes us the culinary capital of the Caribbean, take advantage of our night life, dive on a wreck in our marine park, or take a trip to Saba and experience one of the most charming and eco-friendly islands in the Caribbean. Between our beaches, restaurants, shopping, craftsmen, neighboring islands, and our entertainment venues, St. Maarten has something for everyone. It is rare that you won’t find what you are looking for stocked on our shelves during your stay; but if you do, it’s okay because St. Maarten is duty free with at least three direct cargo flights from Miami each week. As always, we would love to hear from you, if you have any feedback, suggestions or questions please send them to infosmmta@gmail.com Thank you once again for visiting St. Maarten. We hope you truly enjoy your stay and that you will be back to visit us again in the near future!
